WHAT IS EX-FOR BARAOLT?
EX-FOR was founded in the
locality Baraolt, in the year 1992, at 55 km distance from
BRAŞOV.
In the beginning the main activity of the
firm consisted in forestry operation and the processing of
the wood. EX-FOR had developed continuously following an
intense programme of investments.
The most wide-spread species of
wood in the basin of Baraolt is the beech, approximately
60%, then the spruce 20%, the oak/holm 15%, other species
5%, so that EX-FOR has chosen as raw material the BEECH.
The BEECH of the Carpathians (Fagus szlvatica),
due to its climate and soil has a peculiar structure that
permits the manufacturing in specific technological
conditions.
  
  
In order to be more suitable for
the requirements its clients, EX-FOR has begun the drying of
the timber in modern drying chambers in the year 2000, today
it reached a capacity of 1000 m3 timber/cycle.
Due to the development of the activity in the
second semester of the year 2006 an investment was made
which is estimated that in 16 months its technology of
drudgery and assortment will be renewed.
We focus our ATTENTION on the quality of the
timber but also on the adequate administration and
protection of the forests.
EX-FOR possesses the following CERTIFICATES:
ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and in course of developing ISO 18001.
